Body Decoration · Scarification
The practice of scarring the body for decoration purposes is as old as mankind itself. It is usually done with a sharp knife, although more recently lasers are available to cut and cauterize the skin. The skin grows over the cuts to form the kinds of decorations illustrated below. Ink can also rubbed into the open wounds, or cuts, to give color as the scar heals. |
